How to lay geomembrane

The laying method of geomembrane has an important impact on the anti-seepage effect and durability of the channel anti-seepage and water-saving renovation project.

During the laying process, the bottom of the channel should first be cleaned and leveled to ensure good contact between the geomembrane and the base layer.

The geomembrane should then be cut and spliced according to the design requirements to match the shape and size of the channel.

Finally, the geomembrane should be securely fixed to the bottom of the channel using welding or adhesive to prevent it from moving or breaking.

Precautions for construction of geomembrane

During the construction process of the channel anti-seepage and water-saving renovation project, the following points should be paid attention to: First, the quality of the geomembrane should be ensured to meet the design requirements, and strict inspection and testing should be carried out to avoid the use of inferior materials.

Secondly, the flatness and cleanliness of the base layer should be ensured to avoid bubbles or gaps between the geomembrane and the base layer.

Finally, construction quality and safety should be strictly controlled to ensure that the anti-seepage effect and service life of the project meet the expected requirements.

Why is the finished composite geomembrane containing water?

Before the production of composite geomembrane, the geotextile required for the composite geomembrane must be produced according to corresponding specifications.

When producing the composite membrane, the geotextile must be fixed on the production equipment in advance. The temperature of the geomembrane is relatively high during extrusion.

Yes, the geotextile is compounded on the surface of the geomembrane before solidification, so that the geomembrane and geotextile can be bonded together.

When most composite membranes are produced, the sides need to be flanged to facilitate welding during construction. The flanging requires adding water to the side of the geomembrane to cool it before the geomembrane and geotextile are composited, so that the sides cannot Composite with geotextile.

Because the geotextile is water-absorbent, the geotextile will absorb part of the water when the edge is flung and cannot be kept dry, but this will not affect the performance of the composite geomembrane.

Therefore, as long as the composite geomembrane is flanged, it contains moisture when it leaves the factory. This is a normal phenomenon.

During welding construction, it is necessary to wipe off the moisture on one side of the welding before welding, so as to ensure that the welding is firm. .
